Sefr

Philosophy

What I believe, and how that shows up in the work.

None of this is theory. Each of these cost me something to learn, and each one changes how a project with me actually goes.

  1. 01

    Start from zero

Sefr means zero. Zero is not emptiness — it is the honest place you start from before you have earned anything. Every project, every year, every morning begins there.

  2. 02

    Small, finished things

I would rather ship something narrow that works than something broad that almost does. Finished work compounds; half-built work is a debt you pay with attention.

  3. 03

    Do the boring part well

Naming, error handling, the follow-up email. The unglamorous half of any craft is where the difference actually lives.

  4. 04

    Keep a record

Memory is a bad archive. I write down what I tried, what broke, and what I would do differently. The journal is the discipline, not the decoration.

  5. 05

    The body funds the mind

Training, sleep, and food are not separate from the work. They are the infrastructure the work runs on, and I treat them with the same seriousness.

  6. 06

Be someone people can rely on

Say the true thing early, especially when it is inconvenient. Quote honestly, deliver on the date, and stay reachable after the invoice clears.
